You don’t need to arrange repair or replacement quotes before contacting us. When you file your claim, one of our consultants will guide you through the assessment process and inform you of the next steps to initiate your claim.

An excess is the portion of a claim that you are responsible for paying. The applicable excess amounts for Comprehensive Covers or Third-Party Property Damage are detailed in your Policy Document or Risk Note.
Our claims team will inform you of any required excess and provide guidance on how to make the payment. If you have any questions about your claim or the claims process, please reach out to our claims team for assistance.

Charging an excess helps keep premiums lower by minimizing the number of minor claims. The specific amount and type of excess you are required to pay will be outlined in your policy documentation.

If you have Comprehensive Insurance:

  1. Report the accident to the police and seek medical assistance if there are any injuries.
  2. Gather details of other drivers involved, including their name, address, phone number, email address, license number, insurer, and the registration numbers and make and model of the vehicles.
  3. If it’s safe to do so, take photos of the damage and the vehicles involved.
  4. Notify us of any accident, injury, loss, or damage involving your vehicle(s) as soon as possible.
  5. If your car is not driveable, arrange for it to be towed to a secure location. Ensure you provide us with the address of where your car is being stored.

If your vehicle is lost or damaged due to theft, attempted theft, or malicious damage, you must promptly report the incident to the police and obtain a police report (abstract).
After notifying the police, if you have Comprehensive Insurance, you can submit your claim online or contact our claims department or your broker. Our dedicated Claims Team will guide you through the claims process.

With Comprehensive Insurance, if your car is repairable, you have the option to select your own repairer or use one of our approved repairers. We may authorize the repairs, cover reasonable repair costs, pay the car’s agreed value, or replace your car if the policy conditions are met.

To get assistance with finding a repairer or to start your claim, either begin the process online or call us. One of our friendly claims service team members will guide you through every step of the claims process.

After you’ve submitted your Comprehensive Insurance claim and selected a repairer, we will coordinate with both you and the repairer to ensure a swift return to the road. Once the repairs are finished, your repairer will reach out to you to arrange the collection of your vehicle.
